Membership

NDRF membership is open to New Zealand based NGOs with a significant involvement in overseas disaster relief activity, subject to the following
criteria:

  1. A national organisation.
  2. A proven capacity to deliver disaster relief assistance.
  3. A signatory of the 'Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) in Disaster Relief'.
  4. Compliance with:

 * All those laws and state regulations which are applicable to the agency.
 * Publish a freely available annual report which indicates:
 - a description of the organisation's major activities during the year.
 - an annual financial audited by an appropriately qualified, independent auditor.

Applications for Membership and Acceptance Procedures
A written application for membership is required demonstrating adherence to the membership criteria.

Membership Fees
Annual fees are $100 per organisation for CID members, $200 per year for non-members/observers.

Meetings
The NDRF meets a minimum of three time a year. These meetings are rotated between Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

The Chair of the NDRF is Robert Patton (ADRA NZ).
