Contact your MP

One of the best ways you can help out with the PointSeven campaign is by contacting your MP and letting them know that you care about poverty in the developing world and you expect New Zealand to play a bigger role in poverty elimination.

You have the power to bring change by adding your voice to the PointSeven campaign. It's vital that we hold the government accountable to the pledges they made to give more and better aid.

In a really positive step, the government agreed to give 0.35% of our national income as aid by 2010. However, in these tough economic times and with budget cuts forecast, we need your help to remind the government of its pledge. By writing to your MP, you can help us keep poverty, aid and the 0.7% target on the agenda.

  • Ask your MP where they stand on aid and development and what their party is doing to help NZ reach the 0.7 target by 2015
