The Council for International Development is pleased to invite its members to a Auckland workshop to find out about the new Financial Reporting Requirements for registered charities.

The Financial Reporting Act 2013 was passed in December 2013. The Act has introduced new statutory annual financial statement and audit requirements for registered charities.

At the same time the External Reporting Board (XRB) has issued four Tiers of financial reporting standards, dependent on charities’ expenditure.

This two hour workshop, tailored for our sector, will provide participants with a practical insight into the new financial reporting requirements and an opportunity to ask those burning questions.

Attendance at the workshop will benefit those people in your organisation charged with preparation of your annual financial statements.

Key outcomes of workshop:

  • Confirmation of the new reporting framework and where your organisation fits
  • The impact of transitioning to Tier 1 and Tier 2 reporting requirements (NZ IPSAS) impact of transitioning to Tier 3 and Tier 4 reporting requirements (Simple Format Financial Statements)
  • Confirmation of the implementation dates

Anthony Heffernan, Associate Principal at Crowe Horwath, has been presenting and commenting on the new financial reporting framework for the past four years.
