Global day of solidarity for the Arctic 30

5 October 12:00pm - 5:00pm
Russian Embassy, Wellington

Join Greenpeace for a peaceful act of solidarity in support of the Arctic 30.

On 19th September 28 Greenpeace International activists and two freelance photojournalists were arrested under armed guard off the Russian coast after a peaceful protest against Arctic oil drilling and are to be held without charge for two months. This Saturday, thousands of people across the world will join a global day of solidarity for the Arctic 30. Our brave friends took a stand to protect the Arctic and our climate. Now they need you to take a stand for them and for our planet.

Music on the day will come from Ariana Tikao and Imon Starr, and there will be face painting, arts & crafts and polar bears (friendly ones!) in attendance.

When: Saturday 5th October

Time: 12pm

Venue:Russian Embassy in Wellington at 57 Messines Rd, Karori
