Bring your lunch along to another stimulating CID Talk.

Wellington CID members and friends here’s an opportunity to hear a first-hand account of the complex work being done around the humanitarian crisis in Syria and beyond. Wynn Flaten is the Director of World Vision’s Syria Crisis Response and he will be speaking about the human rights’ challenges facing children and young people fleeing the conflict.

Over the last five years World Vision has assisted more than three million Syrian refugees, internally displaced people and vulnerable host populations facing severe shortages of water and sanitation facilities, food, basic hygiene and household supplies, and access to education and health care.

Wynn Flaten has more than 35 years of experience in the aid and development sector including Afghanistan, Nepal, Indonesia, Tajikistan, and consulting in Asia and the South Pacific as a specialist in livelihood development. World Vision’s Syria Crisis Response spans Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and the Kurdish Region of Iraq.

Please pass this on to your colleagues. Gold coin donation from non-CID members appreciated.
Our thanks to WWF for hosting this event.
