International Needs: Education Programme Coordinator

International Needs is a Christian organisation committed to restoring the lives of those in the world's poorest countries.  We connect with communities in 34 countries, and we make this happen by partnering with grant making trusts, churches, governments and individuals, and undertaking effective joint ventures with similar organisations. 

The Position

As an experienced Education Programme Coordinator, you will be responsible for: Developing and executing our Education Programme 

  • Facilitating communication between sponsored children and their sponsors
  • Promoting and growing the International Needs sponsorship programme
  • Maintaining databases and implementing new systems and procedures
  • Planning and preparing for deputations or events

So, if you are:

  • Able to remain calm under pressure and can prioritise multiple tasks
  • Committed to the cause of international development
  • Able to demonstrate excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills
  • Methodical with a good eye for detail and able to follow established procedures
  • A problem solver and solution finder
  • Able to travel within both New Zealand and overseas.

And you have:

  • At least 3 years of experience working within a not-for-profit organisation
  • The ability to quickly learn and implement new systems
  • High attention to detail, database admin and systems implementation
  • A demonstrated commitment to the cause of educating children
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
