Tearfund: International Programmes Director

Lead Tearfund's international development/disaster response work through a high performing team to:

  • Deliver diverse programs effectively and appropriately making a positive difference addressing global poverty and injustice;
  • Work cross-culturally alongside multiple partners with significant complexities;
  • Take a strategic leadership role as part of the senior management team.

Responding to the challenges of global poverty in a contemporary world, Tearfund engages in partnerships with communities who work with some of the most vulnerable people in the world as they struggle to feed their families, cope with disasters, confront exploitation and build a different future. The International Programmes Team partners with local and international stakeholders to deliver life-changing programmes, with a growing focus on engagement with Pacific neighbours in line with the Government's "Pacific Reset" strategy.

The role

Leading a highly skilled and capable team of six, the International Programmes Director (IPD) plays a pivotal and crucial role in leading and delivering Tearfund's overseas projects and programmes. Robust systems and processes are in place as are positive relationships with our community partners overseas. The previous IP Director did a great job, so they are looking for someone with lots of energy, drive and passion to continue our momentum.
