CID Sphere Training/ Update on Sphere Handbook 2018 Edition

Start:
Location: Wellington, TBC

CID invites CID Humanitarian members & observers, along with other humanitarian colleagues, to a 2-day Sphere training workshop. Last year, the Sphere movement marked its 20th anniversary, and the Handbook was recently revised to ensure it remains fit for purpose in a changing world.

In the post-World Humanitarian Summit humanitarian context where a nexus of development and humanitarian action is increasingly influencing operating concepts, the Sphere Handbook has been updated to reflect new evidence and practice, while retaining a primary focus on humanitarian response. This 2-day workshop will serve as both an introduction to those that are new to the Sphere Handbook, and an update for those that have had Sphere training previously.
