Pacific Media Network is delighted to announce that Sky Television will broadcast the Auckland show of Aotearoa’s first-ever Pacific Divas National Identity Tour, featuring the very best of Pacific female artists across Aotearoa.
As the official Broadcast partner, Sky Television will film the live showcase at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau on Thursday 28 November for broadcast at a later date on Sky platforms.
“Signing up with a major international broadcaster to film the Pacific Divas National Identity Tour is a fantastic achievement and significant milestone for Pacific Media Network,” says Sara-Jane Elika, PMN Interim CEO. “Mainstream broadcasters are realising the untapped potential of the Pacific market here in Aotearoa. This partnership will allow further reach and engagement with viewers across New Zealand who will see and hear our finest Pacific female artists demonstrating our collective approach to celebration and empowerment for Pasifika peoples. Our organisation, at all levels, is a reflection of our People, culture and identity.”
“We are thrilled to be a sponsor of the Pacific Divas tour in New Zealand and support the amazing Pasifika talent involved in the production. Thanks to our outside broadcast team, we’re excited to make the concert available to an even bigger Kiwi audience via our free-to-air channel, Prime, as well as to fans and supporters in the Pacific Islands via Pasifika TV,” says Tex Teixeira, Sky’s Director of Sport, Broadcast and Entertainment.
Pacific Media Network is also proud to announce two more leading Pacific Divas in the Auckland line-up. Annie Grace and Lole Usoali’i-Hickey are joining our original seven artists Aaradhna, Annie Crummer, Betty-Anne, Bella Kalolo, Razé, Pacific Soul and Cindy of Samoa on stage at the Vodafone Events Centre on Thursday 28 November from 5.30 pm
With nine Divas appearing on the big stage of the Vodafone Events Centre, the intimate cabaret show and Pacific Rim Cuisine in Wellington featuring four Divas and our community-focused concert in Christchurch, the Pacific Divas National Identity Tour showcases the unique diversity of our Pacific culture.
