We are so pleased to be able to invite you to a special screening and panel discussion of the documentary Nasrin, which was clandestinely filmed by director Jeff Kauffman and narrated by Oscar award winner Olivia Colman.
This is widely regarded as a must-see film, offering a firsthand view of Iranian human rights lawyer, Nasrin Sotoudeh. Nasrin was sentenced to 38 years in prison and 148 lashes for defending women’s rights and peacefully protesting against Iran’s forced hijab (veiling) laws.
Amnesty has been working on her case for the last four years. The film is an eye-opener about the horrendous treatment many women still suffer around the world.
