The need in Gaza is urgent and we want Kiwis to help, but we always recommend that donations go through a registered NGO or charity. This helps avoid running into legal or safety issues, such as scams, breaches of anti-money laundering laws, or unintentionally sending money into the wrong hands in a conflict zone. Trusted humanitarian organisations know how to get support where it’s needed most, safely and effectively.
Below is a list of registered New Zealand-based NGOs and charities currently responding to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. These organisations have the experience, networks and safeguards to ensure donations reach those who need it most.
