Cure Kids

Cure Kids started working in Fiji in 2006 with a focus on child heart disease and respiratory health issues - our work in the Pacific has been at the junction between child health research - public health policy - and human development. Our approach to improving access, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes in the areas of respiratory health, climate change, and child protection includes:

  • Establishing a strong partnership led by Health authorities and Civil Society partners undertaking a joint situational analysis and needs assessment, as a basis for project planning
  • Support for procurement and deployment of equipment, consumables, and other resources to meet the most urgent health needs
  • Training and capacity-building of in-country clinical, community, and technical teams to sustainably support the local health system
  • The gathering of research evidence and the monitoring and evaluation of project activities to inform national policy and cost-effective solutions across the health systems
