Global Giving Week (16th - 20th August)

Posted on 29 July 2021

What is CID’s Global Giving Week?

As part of business-as-usual CID is regularly promoting the work and appeals of its members, Global Giving Week (16th – 20th August 2021) provides a sustained period where we focus in on the critical role of public donations as a key enabler of development programming and emergency responsive. We have linked the timing of Global Giving Week to the annual occurrence of World Humanitarian Day, which is observed on 19th August.

What will happen during Global Giving Week?

  • Daily social media posts across all CID platforms
  • Media release to share the important work that the sector is doing
  • Links to information on a number of current appeals of our members, and any events to coincide with World Humanitarian Day (to come)
