3 October 2022

This year’s Council for International Development’s (CID) annual conference will take place over two days 19-20 October 2022. The conference will be predominantly online via a dedicated virtual platform, and the afternoon on day two will be in-person at Banquet Hall in Parliament. Over 150 people across the Pacific and beyond, will join the conference and hear from key political leaders, grassroots organisations, and International NGOs.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Global strategies vs local realities: how can civil society bridge the gap?’ Through keynote speakers, panels, and breakout sessions, the conference will explore regional and global challenges, and look at how we ensure civil society voice is not lost in macro-conversations.

“We see this conference as an essential conversation, given the increasing complexities and geopolitical shifts in our region and globally. Within these shifts it is important that civil society voice is amplified, to ensure we leave no one behind.” – Paul Brown, Interim Executive Director, Council for International Development
